Katherine Annette Florence Payne
Obituary
Passed on October 29, 2022
Suddenly on October 29, 2022 Kathy passed away.
Left to cherish her memories is her son Tyler and many family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Charles, parents Oscar and Aileen Kjear, brothers Bruce and David Kjear, in-laws Cecil and Shirley Payne and brother-in-law Allan Payne.
Kathy grew up in Stonewall and spent most of her life there. She worked at Stony Mountain Penitentiary and then moved to the Rockwood Institution. Kathy loved to travel, going to Denmark, England twice and many trips to Edmonton. You could always find her in the front row cheering on her son whether it was at football games or music recitals. She was his biggest fan.
The family would like to thank all the Homecare Staff for their care over the years. A special thank you to Cathy, Nicole, Louie and Matthew C. The family would like to thank the Stonewall Hospital for all their care and also a thank you to Dr. Macek for everything.
A private celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Tyler, so sorry to hear about your mother passing. Kathy was a good friend growing up. I have memories of going to their farm and playing with Kathy, Bruce and David. May she Rest In Peace.
