It is great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our dear auntie Marjorie at the age of 97 at Goodwin Lodge on Friday, September 18, 2026.

Marjorie leaves behind her nephew David Wozney, nieces Joan Antofichuk, Marjorie Willis (Barry), Great nephew Derek Willis (Sherry), Great niece Erin Ouendag (Craig), Great-Great nephews Max and Lex Ouendag.

She was predeceased by her parents Michael and Lena Wozney, sister Mary Antofichuk, brothers John and Nick Wozney, brother-in-law Andrew Antofichuk, sister-in-law Marilyn Wozney.

Marjorie was born June 7, 1929 in Foley, Mb to Michael and Lena Wozney. She grew up with her siblings and attended Foley Schol until Grade 8. After finishing school, she moved to Winnipeg and started working for Safeway as a cashier. Through the years she worked in manager positions with the company. Marjorie enjoyed travelling to many places like Hawaii, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Barbados as well as many cities in Canada.

Auntie retired after 32 years of service and then bought a house in Teulon. It was here that she was a wonderful care giver for her aging mother and brother who was ill. While caring for them, she would also maintain the yard, grow vegetables in her garden and have a beautiful display of flowers in her front yard; it truly was beautiful. She would make all kinds of pickles, preserves, and canned. Auntie still stayed in her house after the passing of her brother and mother. Marjorie frequently attended church and was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Komarno until its untimely closure. In her spare time, she loved to go on bus trips to the casinos across the border and South Beach.

After auntie sold her house, she moved into a condo at Prairie Estates. Living at the condo was very enjoyable. There she could still plant a garden and grow her vegetables and flowers, that is something she loved to do.

In 2023 auntie moved into Goodwin Lodge and enjoyed her time there very much, especially with all the activities she attended. The family greatly thanks all the staff at the Lodge for the excellent care our auntie received.

A private family funeral service will be held for auntie. We will miss you auntie and will love you always.
