Pamela Leslie Pollock (née Fawley)
Obituary
Passed on
April 24, 1954 – September 29, 2026
It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pamela Leslie Pollock (née Fawley) on her own terms and in her own home in Teulon on September 29, 2026, at the much too young age of 72.
She was predeceased by her beloved son, Matthew Pollock; her parents, Connie and Les Fawley and her brother-in-law Brett Young.
Her memory will be cherished forever by her daughter, Robin Baxter; grandchildren, Matthew, Sean, and Maddy Baxter; sister, Jill Young; brother, Mark Fawley (Jo-Ann); nieces and nephews, Luke Brunger, Leah Marcoux (David), Danielle Titterton (David), and Adam Fawley; and her great-nephews, Elliot Marcoux, Emmett Brunger and Nicholas Titterton. She will be deeply missed by her extended family, Nile family, and many dear friends.
Pam was born and raised in Winnipeg (St Vital), Manitoba, where she lived most of her life. She had brief sojourns in Shilo, Manitoba, Yorkton and Regina, Saskatchewan where she made many lasting friendships. For the last 4 years she shared a home with her sister Jill and two dogs in Teulon, Manitoba.
She graduated from Dakota Collegiate at the age of 17 and began her career working in banking first with the Bank of Montreal and CIBC. She then went on to be an evening supervisor at the RBC Data Centre on Portage Ave before becoming a business co-owner of Niagara Esso and later Grant Park Esso where she managed all of the bookkeeping. Before her retirement, she worked for many years in the office at Shrine House on Wilkes.
She was a member of Daughters of the Nile for almost 40 years, and proudly served as Queen in 1993. She was also a member of the Khartum Ladies Auxiliary and Eastern Star.
Pam always loved figuring out a good puzzle. She could be found most mornings at the kitchen table working on a cryptic crossword, and she was an avid reader with a particular fondness for mysteries. She was determined to get through that stack of books that everyone says they are going to read before they pass. She put these skills to good use when she got into genealogy where she successfully traced one family line back to the 1600s and took great interest in corresponding with her newly found family members. She also cooked the best prime rib roast with Yorkshire pudding.
Pam had a lot of curveballs thrown her way, but she handled all of her challenges with grace and bravery. Diagnosed in her 20’s with Multiple Sclerosis, she never let it stop her. When she was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago, she fought that battle all while keeping a positive attitude and a warped sense of humour. While in remission for 18 months she went with her sister on the trip of a lifetime from Los Angeles to Florida via the Panama Canal. Her last outing was four and a half weeks before her passing where we all went to Assiniboine Park as she wanted to ride on the train as she had as a child and visit the English Gardens.
Thank you to Teulon Medical Clinic and her primary physician Dr Michael Loudon and Ashley Wicklund, CCPA; her oncologist Dr James Paul who was always straight forward and honest; Dr Eric Hyun; Cancer Care in Selkirk; Palliative Care – Dr Graham, Christine Skakum and Crystal Chagnon; and Teulon Homecare who came into our lives 4 years ago and made it possible for Pam to pass at home as she wished and also her friends and family who supported us along the way. You will never be forgotten. A last big thank you goes to Ken Loehmer Funeral Service for his care, compassion and direction.
A come and go Gathering and Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2026 at St Peter Lutheran Church Hall, 47 Hwy 7 N, Teulon, MB from 1 – 4 pm. Please RSVP to jillianbrunger@gmail.com
If friends so desire, donations may be made to South Interlake Regional Library – Teulon

Pam was at peace and did not fear death as she was going on to be reunited with her son, family and friends. She would tell each of us to go on and live our lives to the fullest each day and we will.
