From the moment we phoned Ken, he treated us as we treat our most loved friends and family. Ken came to us with the utmost courtesy, quiet discretion and compassion. He looked after everyone as if they were his own family – whether they were a funeral guest or family mourner. It was a sad time and we needed the ability to say goodbye but we also wanted to make sure our guests were able to see and hear without distraction or disruption so they could say their goodbyes too. He also knew that was important and made sure he lifted a heavy burden off us at a difficult time by looking after all the little details and extras we didn’t think of.

It isn’t a business for Ken. His personal service is family to him. Because he is local and worked in the local area for 30+ years he knows it’s the many little details that make a huge difference. A hard question the funeral home always asks is to help with the planning of the service, venue and lunch afterwards. “How many people do you think will attend?” We had no idea. Ken did though. He knew the families, their families, the connections in the area and the friends. He made sure there was enough staff to help, a large enough venue and plenty of lunch by the caterer. He quietly suggested maybe the number would be larger and he was completely right. His expert caring advice was always perfect.

We have seen his professionalism and quick witted resources able to handle even the most difficult last minute situations at many different services. It is his expertise and compassion that always shines through.

What can we say about Kenny Loehmer and his service to our family and our community… Simply put, a few short words do not do justice to the important role that Kenny has played for so many Teulon families over the last several decades.

Our community is the embodiment of rural Manitoba living. We are tight-knit and enjoy the extended family environment that comes with small town life. We celebrate the good times together and we grieve our losses together; and Kenny has always been there respectively as both an active member of our community in the good times and the consummate professional who can be relied upon to help us through our most difficult times.
