DONALD ALVIN PROCTER
November 20, 1962 – April 29, 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our dear son, brother and uncle, Donald, of Winnipeg, formerly of Warren, Mb. Donnie leaves to mourn his passing, his mother Alice Morrison; sister Anita Procter and her children Nicole (Andrew), Bryce (Ally), Tiara and Taylor Benson and their father Randy Benson. He is also survived by step-brother Cliff (Judith) Morrison and their family; step-sister Bev (Brian) Brindley and their family. Also, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Alvin Procter in 1985; sister Brenda Procter in 2000; step-father Allan Morrison in 2012; grandparents Ed and Ella Procter; James and Agnes Millar; also, aunts, uncles and cousins. Donnie was born in Winnipeg and raised on the family farm in Warren, Mb. He loved to hunt and fish with his dad and his friends. His dog Fisher (Fish) was the pride and joy of his life and he was devastated when Fish had to be put down. Don was a truck driver. He drove all across Canada for different trucking companies and was presently employed by Allan Hanslip Const. Don had many friends who will miss him dearly. There will be a Celebration of Life for Donnie on Sat. May 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Stonewall Legion Hall, 459 Main St. Stonewall, Mb. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Winnipeg Police Service – Missing Persons Unit; and to the Falcon Lake RCMP Detachment for their help and compassion at this very difficult time.
