Left to mourn his passing are his wife of 59 years Sophie; children Clinton (Barb), Corine (Illya), Amanda (Chris) Anderson; grandchildren Troy, Kirk, Austin (Carolina), Savanna (Joshua), Leland, and Rayner; sister Eileen Campbell, sisters-in-law Irene Javor, Millie (John) Hyntka, Lois Matis; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Allan was predeceased by his parents Freda and George; brother Leonard; brothers-in-law Ralph Campbell, Florian Matis, Steven Matis, Walter Gurican; sisters-in-law Mary Gurican, Angie Matis.

Dad was born December 17, 1939 in Teulon and was raised on the farm where he would later raise his own children.  Allan was a lifelong prankster who could never pass up the opportunity for a good scare.  Marrying Sophie in 1965, Allan became a devoted husband, father, and later grandfather.  He was a prominent member and volunteer in the community, receiving his life membership with the Kinsmen in 1984.  Allan was also a member of the Ag society and Lions club in Teulon.  There wasn’t a meeting he wasn’t enthusiastic about attending and if you need help with something, he was always willing to help.  He enjoyed farming and dancing was an avid gardener and couldn’t say no to visiting over a game of cards.  He loved going for drives through the country and driving the school bus, which he did for many years.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at St. John Vianney Church in Teulon at 1pm, 5th Ave SE.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Norris Lake Cemetery (where he chaired in his later years) or to Diabetes Research.

Thank you to all who cared for him throughout the years.
