MICHAEL WAYNE PRINGLE
December 12, 1937 – February 22, 2019 On February 22, 2019, Wayne passed away due to health conditions. Wayne was born December 12, 1937 in North Bay, ON to Mel and Veronica Pringle. He was the only brother to Sheila and Janice. He was the pillar of the Pringle family, standing proud as the husband of his beloved wife Jan. They were married on May 20, 1957 and have five children, Laurie Bracken (Ken), Kim Doherty, Wendy Munro (Smiley), Jeff (Linda) and James (Jana). He started working for the North Bay Nugget newspaper after finishing grade schooling in 1954. In 1964, he took a job with Harris Intertype as a service rep and moved the family to Toronto. He was then transferred to Winnipeg in 1967. He was a savvy businessman who traveled the country and met interesting people along the way. In 1971, he left Harris Intertype to start a business with Jan called Casting Industries where they jointly made all types of plaster of Paris items from casting to painting and shipping. From 1975 through 1978 he also drove bus for Winnipeg Transit. In 1970 they bought property near Lake Winnipeg and he and his girls built a cottage. In 1976, they decided to move the family to the small community of Teulon, Manitoba. They continued their thriving business there and then in 1988 they built a new store and restaurant. It was in 1995 when they were involved in a horrible car accident near Stonewall that changed their lives forever. He suffered minor injuries but Jan was seriously injured in the accident. She endured years of surgeries, physical therapy and doctor appointments followed with a permanent disability. He was forever grateful that she survived. After this accident, that almost took the love of his life, he spent the rest of his life selflessly making sure she was happy. It was in 1998 that they made the tough decision to close their business and retire to Winnipeg. He took pride in their eight Grandchildren Shannon Ajibesin (Victor), Ryan Bracken (Krista), Kyla Campbell (Robert), Brett Munro (John), Caemlyn Pringle (Lukas), Daron Pringle, Matthew Pringle & Deanna Fontaine and their ever growing great grand babies. In his last days he was surrounded by his family and he felt so grateful for the family that he and Jan had created. He was a kind, compassionate, caring man and we valued his advice. His incredible sense of humour will be greatly missed but carried on in future generations. The Pringle family would like to sincerely thank the 5th floor staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their amazing kindness, patience and care for our Husband, Dad and Grandpa in his final weeks. He was so grateful for everything you did for him. As per his request, there will be a private family memorial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Cancer Care Manitoba. Rest easy Pops, we’ve got it from here.

Mom raised Jim, Lara and Pamela with her soul mate, “Big Jim” on a farm just outside of Balmoral, where her medical knowledge was put to good use with cattle and other farm animals. Mom had a keen interest in alternative medicine; she practiced reflexology and massage for several years. She strongly believed in “life after life” and enjoyed attending church. Mom most loved visiting with her friends and family. She enjoyed shopping, singing, dancing, swimming, camping and listening to music. Her favourite way to celebrate birthdays was bonfire parties. We would like to thank family members, friends and neighbors too numerous to name who have given us love and support during and after Mom’s illness. Much gratitude is felt for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Christiansen and the rest of the amazing staff at St. Boniface Hospital. Reginald Richard Main
May 6, 1944 – January 20, 2019 Peacefully and quietly, as he lived his life, Reg passed “gently into the night” at home early Sunday morning. Reg was the 3rd born and 2nd son of Bob and Marj Main. He grew up on the family farm in Balmoral, spent some time in the city, but returned with his wife to the place so dear to his heart, where he wished to raise a family. After leaving school, Reg worked at various jobs, but was most happy in his over 30- year career at Bristol Aerospace. He very much enjoyed his fellow workers, most of whom are still friends today. Reg enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-a cup of coffee with friends, gardening, cutting grass, patrolling his property in his golf cart, sitting on the deck enjoying nature, and watching his grandchildren play in the swimming pool. Reg leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his wife Joan, his daughter Kelley, of whom he was so very proud, her husband Frederic Guimont, and his much loved and adored grandchildren Benjamin and Meredith. Missing him also is his brother Glenn and his wife Jean, special nephew Gordon and wife Darlene and their family, as well as niece Tammy and her husband Brent Turchyn and their family. Also missing Uncle Reg are nephew Warner Main, Shelley and Glenn Schultz, Sean Feldsted, Ian and Ellen Feldsted, Erin Main, and Corey and Danny Wilson and families. Reg will also be missed by his mother-in-law Lorna Wilson, brother and sister-in-law Jim and Brenda Wilson, and brother-in -law John Feldsted. Reg was predeceased by his parents Bob and Marj Main, father-in-law John Wilson, brother-in-law Tom Wilson, brother Sid and sister Madge, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. As per Reg’s wishes, a private family interment will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to his favorite coffee shop-the Balmoral Recreation Centre. Look for Me- I Am There In the rustling of the trees As there wafts a gentle breeze And the flowers brightly bloom Look for me- I am There In the gentle springtime rain And the robins’ sweet refrain, As the rabbits scamper round Look for Me- I Am There As the snowflakes softly fall And the geese so bravely call The scent of woodsmoke draws us in Look for Me- I Am There Love Joan
