September 21, 1951 – September 1, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Barry Nicholas Andreciw in the Health Sciences Centre on September 1, 2024 at the age of 72 years with family by his side.

He will be sadly missed by his sister Beverly Lesko (Arnold), his nephews Scott Lesko, Mathew Lesko (Jesse), nieces Brittany Meijer (Sean), Angela Lesko, his great nieces Rylee, Callie, Rowan and Bentley, his great nephew Logan and his little furry friend Harvey, as well as many of his cousins and friends.

Barry was predeceased by his mother Mary Andreciw in 2018 and his father Nicholas Andreciw in 1970, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Barry got his first full-time job at Canadian Linen where he went to school and got his Engineering License. After he received his license, he worked at the Convention Centre for many years. Barry then went on to work at the Winnipeg Winter Club as Chief Engineer for many years and then came to work for our family business Garry Radiators (1991) Ltd. And then West End Radiator and finally he went back to the Winnipeg Winter Club as Chief Engineer where he retired from.

Barry loved visits from his nieces and nephews, especially when his great nieces and great nephew came to visit; Barry would just light up.

We would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at the Health Sciences Centre for taking such good care of Barry in his short time there. We also would like to thank Ken Loehmer for his help and care after Barry passed away.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11 am at the Komarno Hall in Komarno, MB.
