Bruce Albert Moore

Bruce Albert Moore

Passed on April 13, 2024

AUG.9, 1938 – APRIL 13, 2024      It is with heavy hearts that we are announcing the passing of our father, grandfather, friend, Bruce Albert Moore on April 13, 2024, with his wife of 60 years plus and daughter Kelly by his side at the Stonewall Hospital.

Bruce was born August 9, 1938 in the small town of Teulon, Manitoba. At the age of 7 he moved with his parents Albert and Leona Moore to Inwood, Manitoba where he grew up on the farm. Bruce eventually took over the farm, to make it his own along with his siblings, Norman, Merle, Marilyn, Darlene, Cathy and Brian. When Bruce was in his twenties he met his soon to be wife Lynne Margaret Olson, they were married August 10, 1963. Soon after their marriage they decided to start a family, with oldest son Curtis, daughter Kelly and son Darcy.

Bruce’s passion was dairy cattle, and beef cattle which he did fulltime until 1997 when he sold his dairy herd, continuing with the beef herd until he decided to retire in 2018. Dad and Mom decided it was time to sell the farm, and moved to Inwood, this is where they reside until today.

Bruce will be sadly missed by his wife Lynne of 60 years plus, his children along with their spouses; Curtis & Maria, Kelly & Randy, Darcy & Lenore and grand-daughter Veta Rae Moore. Bruce was predeceased by his parents Albert and Leona Moore, brother Norman, brother-in-law Jack Palen.

Left to mourn are his four sisters and one brother, Merle & Lloyd of Carman, MB., Marilyn Palen of Teulon, MB., Darlene & Ed of Steinbach, MB., Cathy & partner Joey of Winnipeg, MB. and Brian & Teresa of Inwood, MB., and his favorite aunty Irene Corrigal of Teulon, MB. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and neighbors, to many to mention.

Private graveside service will be held by family, with a celebration of life for family, friends and neighbors at a later date.

If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1200 – 2300 Yonge St, Box 2414, Toronto, Ontario, M4P 1E4 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1300 – 522 University Ave., Toronto, Ontario M5G 2R5.

The family of Bruce Moore would like to send a very big Thank You to Dr. Zahiri, medical staff of the Stonewall Hospital for their kindness, compassion and most of all the jokes and antics they had with Bruce right until the very end, when he peacefully left us.

Dear Lynne, I have memories of seeing you & Bruce at the rink for curling or broomball or any number of community events around Inwood (& way beyond! 😉). I have a picture in my mind's eye of you two side by side, smiling or on the dance floor at the hall. It was evident that you two were meant to be together. And I am so sorry that your best friend left this earth. The details and dates in time may be blurry but the smiles, a chuckle or two, along with the feeling of contentment after a conversation with friends (Lynne & Bruce) from home will be cherished. Thinking of you.
