Passed on June 21, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eddie Robert Brown, who passed on June 21, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Eddie leaves behind his eldest son Mark and partner Linda, his youngest son Matthew and his wife Colleen, and two grandchildren, Eric and Scott.

He is predeceased by his wife Virginia, with whom he will now take his much earned rest beside. Eddie came from a large family of four brothers and three sisters, all now deceased, save one older brother, Jim, who lives in California. A brother for whom he was deeply close to his whole life.

A proud Newfoundlander by birth, Eddie spent the majority of his life away from the Rock, as a top performing salesman in the stationary industry, with sales in the millions of dollars per year, with a territory reaching from Thunder Bay to the Alberta/BC border. But he never forgot his heritage, growing up in a small isolated fishing village called Englee. Getting up in the early hours of the morning, out with his Dad and brothers to set the traps in the Atlantic for the day, back for school, and then back out to collect the traps and process the fish in the evening. Local transportation was an open boat or dog-team, and life had few luxuries. That childhood made him a strong and determined man, that was evident in him right to the very end. He took every second of life that God was willing to give him.

A graveside service will be held on July 4th 2022, at 2pm, at the Stonewall Cemetery, located on HWY 67 (Stonewall 2nd Ave N) and Patterson Drive.

A very special thank you to the nursing care team at Teulon Hospital for the extraordinary efforts you took in caring for our Dad. You are amazing and very special people. You treated Dad as if he was yours, and we will be evermore grateful for it.
