Obituary

Passed on October 4, 2023

July 2, 1952 – October 4, 2023    With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Garry Albert Piercey.

Garry was predeceased by his loving wife Linda in January 2023 and they are now happily reunited.

Garry will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Gary Stacey and Corren (Kevin); his two granddaughters Ella and Eden.

With Linda steadfastly at his side, Garry spent his working years in Thompson Manitoba, soon after they retired to Arborg, however Newfoundland was always considered home where Garry and Linda are from and most of their family remain.

When Garry wasn’t watching or pondering the latest happenings in wrestling, he was thinking about the next quad, boat, truck, or motorcycle to buy.

Garry’s love for animals could only be outdone by his fondness for the outdoors. Amongst the dogs, cats and rabbits, Linda’s chicken experiment provided days of animal entertainment.

Garry will always be remembered for his larger than life persona, infectious laugh, and extensive Newfoundland vocabulary. Everyone who knew Garry was at one time or another greeted with an enthusiastic “How’s she goin’?!”
