Gladys Irene Yule (Larcombe)

Passed on October 13, 2023

Our Mom, Gladys Yule passed away peacefully on October 13th, 2023 at the age of 102.

She is survived by her three children, Wayne, Barry, and Sharon; Grandchildren Pamela (Jeff), Blaine, Mark (Beth) and Troy (Barbara); Great grandchildren Julian, Lee, Serena, Luke, Claire, Ella and Ethan.

Mom is predeceased by her husband, Wallace, and eight siblings Charlie, Edith, Olive, Phyllis, Bob, Evelyn, Myrtle, and Gordon.

Mom was born in Camper, Manitoba August 10, 1921. She married Wallace in 1943 and lived on their farm at Woodlands for most of her life. After turning 100 she needed more care so she resided at Red River Place Extendicare until the time of her death. Mom worked side by side with Dad on the farm.

Besides gardening and selling her raspberries and corn for many years she had many hobbies, crocheting, knitting, painting, (many people in the area have some of her artwork). She loved playing bingo and enjoyed visiting with all her family and friends. She enjoyed the camper and fishing at Fairford. Mom was a very kind person and cared deeply for all of her family.

As per Mom’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held where she will be laid to rest beside Dad.

“A life that touches others goes on forever.”

Sorry for your loss. We met your mom and you a few times while camping right beside you at Fairford before her 100th birthday when she was still able to travel there. Delightful lady . May she rest in peace.
