Shirley May Kletke (nee Stutski)

Passed on July 27, 2023

Peacefully on Thursday, July 27, 2023 Shirley Kletke aged 87 years of Winnipeg.

Born May 8, 1936 at Pleasant Home, Manitoba. Shirley had lived and farmed in Teulon for the past 82 years.

She is survived by her sons Jerry (Lisa) and Lynn (Karen) and grandchildren Brett, Dawson, Paige and Marshall.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband Harold and her parents Edward and Tinnie Stutsky.

Mom grew up in Pleasant Home and later lived in Teulon, MB. Mom and Dad starting their farm in 1955 south east of town – growing pedigreed seed, pigs, chickens, cattle and operating a seed cleaning plant. In the early days Mom enjoyed working at the bank but her true passions were farming, gardening, her flower beds, cooking and baking for family gatherings and the family visits.

She loved to capture moments on her camera, driving down country roads viewing the crops and sitting at the lake enjoying the waves…She also enjoyed watching baseball, hockey, curling and participating in a good curling game. She was a volunteer at her church…serving on the executive in various roles. She taught Sunday School and was also involved in the Teulon Ukrainian Dance Club. She led a very full life and will be sadly missed by her family, friends and community.

The family would like to thank the 4th floor staff of Concordia Place for the wonderful and compassionate care given to Mom during her stay there and her special texting buddies Olga and Barbara-Anne for their daily comments.

A private family service has already taken place.
