Aww, so very sorry to see this sad news, Lawson and I thought so very highly of Shirley as she worked with us at the Plumas Skating Rink. She and I put our love of cooking together and created the hamburger recipe that is to my knowledge still being used there, and has been passed on to the curling rink. Just recently a special Hamburger Night was served at the rink as a fundraiser. Shirley and Roger both contributed much to our community and were good friends to us. I remember Shirley’s love of colour and how she decorated the upstairs of the restaurant when the family lived upstairs during the time she ran the Plumas Cafe, I loved the bright colours she used, she was far more courageous than I. I was fascinated with her vision, as I had always used very muted colours when decorating. Billy, I wish to send Lawson’s and my own very sympathetic condolences to you and your family also to the rest of Shirley’s other families and many friends . She was a lovely lady.

Shirley was one of the sweetest ladies around and was just one of those people who made my day brighter whenever I would meet her uptown, always with her cheery hello and the biggest smile. She will truly be missed by so many. Sending my love and condolences Billy, Shelley and family.

Shirley touched so Many hearts, and enriched every day I was blessed to spend with her. She reminded me every day to stop and smell the roses and love those around me. I will grow and hope i become close to who she was to everyone who knew her and what she does for the community.

Ah, Shirley! , That smile, and that laugh! Just thinking of that makes me smile. Shirley was involved in carrying out so many of the activites in our town, always for the benefit of others. She will truly be missed. My heartfelt sympathies to Billie, Joanne, and their families.
