My condolences to Steffie's family. I had the pleasure of meeting Steffie and some of the family at Middlechurch as she and my mom were on the same unit. What a sweetheart! Quick to smile and loved to sing. I'm so glad I got to know her. She is missed.

I am so deeply sad for each of you as you sit with your memories of your sweet & always feisty Mom. I loved hearing Auntie Steffie share stories of growing up on the farm with Mom, Auntie Sandra & Uncle John (who I never met) and then the adventures of raising her own family on the farm with Uncle John. A walk through the huge vegetable garden at harvest time to send us home with something she grew or seeing gallons of milk after milking cows showed such a great point of pride in caring for the family. They worked so hard all of their lives and raised the loving & hard-working family that you all are today. She had so much to be proud of and will be fondly missed. I will always remember the most incredible home-cooked meals not only for their taste but the volume; always leftovers for lunch and maybe supper the next day! And I love her dearly for including me in trips to the cottage in Saskatchewan. Our shared family trips to the beach in St. Laurent and decades of Christmas Eve dinner gatherings will always be held close to my heart because of the love she shared for everyone.
