I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of such a beautiful person inside and out. I remember meeting Whitney for the very first time in grade school. She was always so nice to everyone around her. She was a light to many people. She will be missed.

My time with you on board HMCS Ottawa will never be forgotten, as well as our time at rifflandia when we partied hard when we got to see Everlast play. You were a beaming ray of love and energy and touched everyone around you. You will missed dear friend. Fair winds and calm seas sailor.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Whitney was a true bundle of energy and I am honoured to have served with you. Our deployment on HMCS Winnipeg in 2009 was a highlight and you were a big part of that. You brought joy to us all who sailed the seas with you. Rest easy angel.

From the time we met Lance & Grace in Crescent Cree Park and then each member of your family we have felt the love and kindness of all of you--- ONE Beautiful Family. Now that Whitney is no longer present in body we know she will always be remembered as a beautiful person inside and outside. Always Caring as she participated in so many good ways to country, family, friends, and acquaintances. We consider it to be an HONOR to have known her even this short time. Yes, she will be missed by many people; but, your family is strong and hopefully knowing that others care will give you more strength. We pray God will give you strength and courage to endure such a hardship that words cannot express. We never know when and we never know why; but we do know packed in this short time of Whitney's life she gave love, received love, and fulfilled many activities that some could only wish to accomplish in a much longer life. Whitney was such an incredible person. We had a great friendship in our younger years and somehow reconnected several times after that. Most recently, I organized the Royal Canadian Army to send two people to come to my school to inspire students to choose this as a career path. Well, Whitney and I reconnected again as she walked through the door, except we were both in our 30s now and had a good laugh about how we had grown up and had gray hair. She bragged about being an Auntie as one of her favourite titles she’s ever had. She continued to come to my school over the last 3 years, even through the Covid 19 pandemic. She inspired many of our students. I will never forget her contagious laugh and her ability to look at the bright side. Condolences to Grace, Lance and Jessica.
