Obituary

Passed on September 25, 2019

Peacefully, after a short illness, at the age of 96, Willard (Bill) Earl Pyett passed away. Bill was predeceased by his mother (Clara Bell North), father (Francis Haney Pyett) and his wife of 62 years, Jean Eyre Pyett. He is survived by his children, Janet Meads (Ron), Wayne Pyett (Lynnette), Barry Pyett (Heidi) and Betty Mathiason (Tom); grandchildren, Damon (Abby), Rebecca (Colin), Jason, Nathan, Lucas, and Megan (Chris) and great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Forest, Kaiser, Lilah and Jolene. Bill spent his early career as an air-frame technician in the Canadian Air Force. After retiring in 1970 Jean and Bill moved to Kelowna. After Jean’s death he moved to Balmoral, Manitoba where he settled into community life. He enjoyed his morning coffee with “the guys” from the coffee shop. He had a wonderful life and will be missed by his family. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Pinawa Hospital for their compassionate care of dad.
