July 07, 1973 – December 10, 2019 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jim with family by his side. Jim will be sadly missed by his wife of 20 years, Lena, his loving daughter Alivia, mother Vicky, sister Kelly, Uncle Earl and numerous friends. Jim was born in Winnipeg, grew up in Gunton, Manitoba and attended school in Teulon. He was a dedicated family man and worked hard all his life in various jobs, most recently for Len at the bison farm. He was not afraid of getting dirty. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was a bonfire, trail ride on the quad with his daughter or assisting friends fixing farm equipment or baling hay. Jim was always there to lend a hand. He spent countless hours tinkering in his man shed. If it was broken he found a way to fix it. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Gunton Community Hall. In lieu of flowers please bring a nonperishable food item or unwrapped toy for the Teulon Christmas hamper. The family would like to thank Dr. Loudon and the Teulon Medical clinic, Selkirk General Hospital and the Victoria Cancer care for their compassionate and professional care.
